Ram Gopal Varma ki kya ?
I saw it.
Yes I saw it. I risked it but I saw it. And needless to say, I am still recovering.
This movie is about, how directors make one bad movie after the another, even when the story is proven success. I used to be a vociferous die hard RGV fan – but I feel ashamed to admit that in Public.
Well, herez the deal.
Raj and Heero are you know who. The clear aim of RGV has been to take misfit actors for each role. Clearly I think he wanted to prove a point, which is good casting has nothing to do with movie success. Good name also apparently has nothing to do with movie success…accroding to him
Heero (lets call him veeru for the rest of this) is Ajay Devgan, Haha ahahahahahahaha. This born serious, illlegitimate-child look actor is supposed to do the scenes which Dharam paji did with absolute ease… and he fails miserably. His scenes with Ghungroo (Basanti in Sholay) look like 40 year old teacher with roughe 16 year old ulgiest girl in the class.
Raj, is Raj Ranade (I am yet to see a Ranade guy do something like that). He play Jai … hahahahahahhahahahahhaha hahahah .He has consistency in his acting, he is boring through out the movie. He seems to like Dr Devi(Jaya BHaduri… played by Sushmita Sen …. hahahahahahahahahhaha).
Sushmita is known to be a vocal, woman of substance. Thats her positioningin the industry. But here she is a meek, black attired doctor, who is confused about everything around her…
They are very brave, police charge sheeters, but have no links with Underworld.
THe worst of all is Gungroo… play by Nisha Kothari…. hahahahahahah. She drives a rick, called Laila. She is so thin, that sometimes you can only see her nose in the movie. She makes her presence felt with bad dialogu delivery, horrible dressing sense, stupid one liners and needle thin body.
Then you have the family of Tamil accented maharashtrian family of Insp. Narasimha. Father is hardcore North Indian wearing a white lungi. Wife is suchitra krishnamurthy, with maharastrian attire and marathi language once a while. Brother is Sathya famed actor – shivaji (or what is name is) with his heavy southie accent. And his wife is Devi – hahahahahah. Last and not the least is Narasimha, Mr Mohanlal. I am still recovering from thier accents. Atleast they should have had Marathi accents.
Then comes the sadistic Babban. I know, every critic is going to priase his performance, as they cant say anything against the big B, but I think this is a waste of him. He should not have been in this movie. His acting is bad with some stupid idiosyncracies embedded in the character(like making pukey faces). He is a gangster, going around freely in the City, whom all the police is running around to catch.
All in all, this is a shitty movie, should be renamed as RGV ki HAAG (excuse my language).
